“Weed Out Hate” Initiative Founder Honors MLK, Jr.

A Springfield man plans to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. this week by sharing King’s message of tolerance with children in area schools.

Marc Daniels is the founder of the WeedOutHate.Org Grassroots Initiative.  On Tuesday, Daniels will distribute 3,000 packets of sunflower seeds to children in District 186 in Springfield.

Peter Gray spoke with Daniels about why he’s urging kids to “root out the weeds of hate and sow the seeds of peace” and how Martin Luther King, Jr.’s words inspired him to get his message out to children.
