Bedrock Interview: Christopher Porterfield of Field Report

FieldReportField Report plays tomorrow night (Saturday 4/6 – 8pm) at The Hoogland in Springfield as part of WUIS’ Bedrock 66 Live concert series. The band’s an eclectic folk group that brings an unexpected mix of instrumentation to the genre. Founder and lead singer, Christopher Porterfield, has worked with the likes of Justin Vernon, singer for the popular folk group Bon Iver.

Field Report has gigged with country singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris and rock band Counting Crows. Rachel Otwell brings us this interview with Porterfield:

One Response to Bedrock Interview: Christopher Porterfield of Field Report

  1. Jerry B. says:

Field Report is the Simon and Garfunkel of our post-most everything times. With a wonderful, lyrical band. I think that their first album is the beginning of a new set of Bookends, with feet of ideas and music, packaged curiously into CDs for us collectors, in between the left and right.
