Mental Health Cuts Put Strain On Services

strainedindexDespite all the focus put on mental health services in the wake of events like the Newtown, Connecticut shootings, states like Illinois have cut funding in recent years. Illinois ranked 4th in the amount of cuts to mental health assistance from 2009 to 2011.
Jamey Dunn, Statehouse bureau chief for Illinois Issues magazine, wrote about it in this month’s issue.
