Burglar Makes Big Mistake

BURGLAR’S BIG MISTAKE
Brice Walter did just as he is required to do as a parolee when he telephoned the state’s department of corrections. Unfortunately, authorities say he made the call from a stolen cell phone.
Walter now faces a residential burglary charge. The key question will be how he got a phone that a Decatur man reported missing Jan. 3.
The (Decatur) Herald & Review reports the 21-year-old Walter has some explaining to do after an investigation also revealed that the same phone was used shortly after the burglary to telephone Walters’ cousin.
Walter recently was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular burglary.  He was released from prison in August after serving eight months of a four-year sentence for residential burglary.  (AP)

  1. This illustrates perfectly that we was paroled too early. In effect he just was in prison long enough to regularize his diet and exercise regimens. Just in time to be released healthy and rested to commit more crimes.

  2. *(Spelling correction)* This illustrates perfectly that This inmate was paroled too early. In effect he just was in prison long enough to regularize his diet and exercise regimens. Just in time to be released, healthy and rested, ready to commit more crimes against the community in which he finds himself.
