Springfield Showcases Installation Art

For many people, installation art can be downright confusing. It’s often impermanent, lasting only until the exhibit is over and then dismantled. Some installation artists cover mirrored rooms in polka dots, others use lights and projections. In the Springfield area, installation art is a medium that doesn’t get showcased often, though an event that’s currently taking place puts this style front and center. WUIS’ Rachel Otwell recently spoke with installation artists in the area about what has inspired them to go down a path few have traveled:
