Talking Education With Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon

Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon says Illinois needs to rethink how it views higher education.  She’s on board with a goal to have 60 percent of the working age population have a college degree or credential by 2025.  She says that will require utilizing community colleges in new ways and changes in how higher ed is funded.  Simon spoke with WUIS’ Sean Crawford about the topic as well as plans to encourage more local school districts to consolidate:
