Interview: Michael Madigan On Using Dual Leadership Roles To “Do Good”

Although Michael Madigan is best known as Speaker of the Illinois House, he has another major role as chairman of the state Democratic Party.

That puts him in charge of the Illinois delegation this week in Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention.

Madigan’s critics say he is only concerned about maintaining power, not solving the state’s problems.

Amanda Vinicky sat down with Madigan for an exclusive interview in Charlotte, to speak about his dual leadership roles and how he’s going to use them to deal with Illinois’ pension funding problem.
