Springfield Artist Co-op Hosts Gallery Opening

Andrew Woolbright

Andrew Woolbright is the founder of an artist co-op in Springfield.

What was originally his own studio for painting has become a stomping-ground of many local artists.

It’s in a building on South Grand that used to be Watts Brothers pharmacy.
Now it’s called The Pharmacy in homage of its past, and the venue has hosted an array of events. And it’s not just for visual artists, it’s a place where writers, filmmakers, and political junkies meet to discuss their work and ideas.

Rachel Otwell spoke with Woolbright about a year ago when the co-op was first taking off.  She recently spoke with him about what has been accomplished since then,  as well as an event The Pharmacy is hosting this Saturday:

The Pharmacy’s art show and opening will be from 6 to 9 on Saturday, July 14th. The location is 1022 South Pasfield in Springfield.
