The United Way of Central Illinois is looking for volunteers for its upcoming Day of Action. The event next Friday April 27th. It matches up those who donate their time with not for profit organizations in need of some help.

PHALEN “It might be raking leaves. It might be painting buildings. It might be cleaning up a storage shed. We even have one not for profit, which is a domestic shelter, which every spring they ask some of our individuals to put window air conditioner units in. It’s stuff the staff and the residents of that facility can’t do physically.”
Two hundred individuals gave of their time in the fall. The deadline to register is this Monday. You can find out more details below:
