CWLP: Electric Rate Hike Needed to Support Debt Repayment

Springfield’s public utility says cash to operate its electrical system
is at an “historic low”.

As Peter Gray reports, the utility blames years of disappointing energy sales
and says a nearly ten percent electric rate hike is needed in order to avoid
falling short on payments to bondholders.
