You can’t say state legislators accomplished nothing last month during the first half of the veto session. To the chagrin of some consumer groups that warn it’ll lead to higher electric bills, the General Assembly speedily passed a package to update the state’s power grid. But lawmakers left town with the bulk of the matters before them unresolved. Today they return to Illinois’ capitol to continue that work. Amanda Vinicky has a preview.
